Hi, my name is Brooke Broadus and I am twenty-one years old. I was born a southern girl, and have lived in Mobile, Alabama my entire life. I have an older sister named Brittany and a twin brother named Mark. I currently work at the Grove Apartments as a community assistant/leasing agent. In my spare time I enjoy doing the typical girl stuff like shopping and being out by the pool with a good book. I’m always up for trying new things and taking on new challenges. I tend to sometimes push myself to become the best I can be. I also love spending time with my family. They are by far the most important thing to me…there’s nothing like family time!
This is my fourth year attending the University of South Alabama, and I currently just changed my major to Special Education last spring. Before becoming an education major I was a pre-occupational therapy major. I have a passion for helping others, and enjoy being able to help individuals be their BEST. Growing up I always enjoyed school and being in the classroom setting, which is why I have chosen to get a degree in special education. If you have any questions or would like to know more about me feel free to commet!
Hey Brooke! It's kindof funny that you are my C4C being that we are always in the lab together! But anyways, I never knew you were a twin, thats SO cool! Does he go here too?
ReplyDeleteI knew that worked at the Grove, but I've never asked you...do you get free rent??
I am also a family-girl too, there really is NOTHING like family time, and once I got to college, I realized that more than ever.
I also never knew you were wanting to teach Special Ed. that's so cool, my mom is a Special Ed. teacher and she loves it. It is so rewarding, but it takes someone with a lot of patience and not anyone can do it! I am also considering teaching Special Ed., especially now that the "new program" is combined with Elementary Ed. & Special Ed.
Well, I guess I'll see you in class & lab Tuesday! Hope you have great 3 day weekend! :)
So you want to help others be their BEST. Yet you "tend sometimes" to apply that yourself. Make it ALWAYS!
ReplyDeleteHey Brooke! Sorry it has taken so long for me to comment on your post. As you commented on my post, I too know all this about you since we have known each other for a long time. However, I didn't know you are now a Special Education major. That's awesome! I'm taking SPE 400 this semester, and everything I have learned so far is very interesting. I think the last class we were in together was senior year economics with Outlaw. Those were good times!
